Since its inception, Zimbabwe Democrat has been largely funded by donations from a wide cross section of the
community in Zimbabwe. Without donations, the Party will be unable to continue its crucial role in supporting the democratic
processes of the nation.
Political parties need funding to undertake wide-ranging research and to develop policies for debate and consideration
by Parliaments. Parties provide form and structure to democratic processes to enable the bringing together of the views of
like-minded people in our community, and to facilitate the most effective means of presentation of such views. The Zimbabwean
democracy we know would surely be much the poorer without political parties.
